BIBLE READING PLAN
We believe as followers of Jesus we should prioritize reading Gods word.
Below is an easy to follow bible reading plan to get started.
SPLIT THE BIBLE INTO 4 SECTIONS
Read two chapters from each of these four sections 3x a week.
Section 1 - The creation story, how everything came to be established and the story of God’s love for his chosen people.
Genesis through Malachi (exclude Psalms - Song of Solomon)
Old Testament
Section 2 - David and Solomon’s writings
Psalms - Song of Solomon
Old Testament
Section 3 - Gospels that tell the story of Jesus life and ministry
Matthew - John
New Testament
Section 4 - The start of the church and life after Jesus left
Acts - Revelation
New Testament
Journal
The goal in journaling is to allow room for you to dissect and process what you are reading.
At the top right of your journal page, date and note the exact chapters you read.
Next, write any passage that sticks out, intrigues, confuses, or leaves you wondering.
At the end of each week, go to someone who you know understands scripture and talk about it with them. This usually is the part where you tend to grow the most because you are talking about it and not just reading about it.
